What Your First Visit Looks Like
Your first visit is simple: we listen, take the right scans, and explain your options in plain language. We use low-radiation 3D imaging (CBCT) to get a detailed view, which helps us plan treatment and avoid surprises later. No messy “goopy” impressions, your smile can be captured digitally and sent fast to our in-house lab for custom appliances. If you’re busy or live outside town, you can also start with a virtual consultation and move forward from there.

Dr. Anthony Harwell & Dr. Tanner Cook
Dr. Anthony Harwell was raised in Amarillo and started learning orthodontics early by helping in his father’s practice. He studied at Vanderbilt, earned his dental degree at Baylor College of Dentistry, and completed orthodontic training at UT–Houston. Today, he carries on a patient-first approach that focuses on long-term results and a comfortable experience.
Dr. Tanner Cook grew up in Meers, Oklahoma, and earned his dental degree and orthodontic specialty training through the University of Oklahoma, completing his orthodontic residency in 2014. He’s passionate about helping teens build confidence and understands how to make treatment feel less stressful. He joined Harwell & Cook in 2014, and his goal is the same every day: clear answers, steady progress, and smiles patients love to show off.
